Eureka Entertainment brings 1983's martial arts soccer (sorry, FOOTBALL) film THE CHAMPIONS to Blu-ray in a gorgeous transfer with fun extras. When country bumpkin with fantastic foot-focused goose egg collecting skills applies that ferocity to the footie field, he incurs the ire of fellow footballer Dick Wei, team superstar, who happens to be in the pocket of mobsters. Fast and funny football fu in what undoubtedly had to have been an inspiration for the later SHAOLIN SOCCER.
