Peter O'Toole stars in Peter Yates' gritty, grumpy and great WWII action thriller MURPHY'S WAR (1971), in which a wounded survivor of a German U-Boat ambush of a British vessel off the coast of Venezuela decides to wage one-man war on the submarine with only a downed biplane and a fire in his belly. O'Toole is a magnetic mix of mischievous and malevolent, and the action is fantastic in this crisply-transferred new Arrow Video release with insightful extras.
